Karuna The Compassion is a non-profit organization based in Delhi, dedicated to bringing positive change to society through education, empowerment, and care. Our mission is to uplift underprivileged children by providing them access to quality education, empower women with skills and opportunities for a better future, support senior citizens with dignity and care, and advocate for environmental sustainability and social awareness. Additionally, we actively engage in feeding stray animals, promoting kindness and compassion towards all living beings.
Karuna – The Compassion is committed to creating a just and compassionate society by empowering underprivileged children through education, supporting women’s skill development and independence, and ensuring dignity and care for senior citizens. We promote environmental sustainability, raise social awareness, and extend kindness to animals by feeding and caring for strays. Through these efforts, we strive to inspire community participation, foster social responsibility, and bring lasting positive change.
We envision a society where every individual—regardless of age, gender, or background—has equal access to education, opportunities, and a dignified life. Our goal is to build a compassionate and inclusive community that nurtures social responsibility, protects the environment, and ensures that no being—human or animal—is left behind. Through dedicated efforts, Karuna – The Compassion aims to be a catalyst for lasting social change, spreading hope and kindness to every corner of society.
Our History
Karuna The Compassion was founded with a simple yet powerful belief: that kindness and compassion can transform lives. Established in Delhi, our journey began with a small group of dedicated individuals who saw the struggles of underprivileged children, women, senior citizens, and stray animals and felt the urgent need to take action.
Initially, our efforts focused on providing education to children from low-income families, ensuring they had the resources and opportunities to build a better future. Over time, our work expanded to include women empowerment programs, offering skill development and employment opportunities to help women gain financial independence. Recognizing the loneliness and struggles faced by senior citizens, we introduced initiatives to support their well-being and dignity.
Understanding the deep connection between humans, animals, and nature, Karuna – The Compassion also took up the cause of animal welfare by feeding and caring for stray animals. Additionally, we launched environmental and social awareness programs to educate communities about sustainability, cleanliness, and responsible living.
From humble beginnings to a growing movement, our journey has been fueled by the unwavering support of volunteers, donors, and well-wishers. Today, Karuna – The Compassion continues to work tirelessly to bring hope, care, and empowerment to those in need, staying true to its name and mission of spreading compassion in every way possible.
